To pump you up for the coming festival months of fun, sun, rain and mud, we’ve put together a failsafe guide. From our top tips of do's and don'ts to our handy essentials checklists, we have all the information you need to guarantee you’ll be a happy camper.

festival essentials

Tip #1- Do have fun and don’t get too muddy

Music festivals are a blast, but they're also sweaty and disgusting with mile-long queues for showers. Hygienic wipes, hand sanitizer and other toiletries that can be used on the go are a decent way of keeping yourself clean. Of course, they don’t replace a long soak in the bath, but if sinks are a long way away, they clean away germs before you touch any food. For minor injuries, store some extra plasters and a travel first aid kit in your travel rucksack.

Tip #2- Do stay connected and don’t lose your tent

Smartphones, we mean fully charged smartphones, are hugely useful at festivals, for taking pictures, posting on social media and finding your friends in big crowds.
Annoyingly, most phones will struggle to last a full 24 hours of use. To solve this problem, don’t forget to carry power banks.

After a long night of dancing, you may find yourself trying to find your tent in the midst off all the other identical ones through the festival field. We recommend that you hang a bunting over your tent to make yours stand out from the crowd. The inside of the tent is just as important and and we wouldn't want you to stumble in and break something so make sure you have a light inside your tent.

Tip #3- Do stay hydrated and don’t get hungry

Don’t party on an empty stomach. With loads of food stalls to choose from, you could be queueing for ages to get some grub, so be sensible and make a packed lunch. Keep dry foods in mind, you don’t want a squashed banana at the bottom of the bag now, do you?
