1. Finders Keepers by Stephen King

Release date: 2nd June 2015

Crime fans unite! The great Stephen King is back with the latest novel in his Detective Bill Hodges series. In this book, we see what happens when a reader becomes a little too obsessed with his favourite writer. If you've already read Mr Mercedes you're probably awaiting the next instalment with baited breath. If you haven't, there's still time to get up to speed!

2. All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

Release date: 6th January 2015

You don't have to be a young adult to love Young Adult fiction, and it seems like there'll be plenty to love in All the Bright Places. Niven takes the typical 'cheerleader falls in love with nerd' high school storyline and turns it on its head, examining the growing relationship between Violet and Theodore, as she copes with the death of her sister and he battles undiagnosed bipolar disorder. Gutsy, honest and soon to be a movie.

3. Confess by Colleen Hoover

Release date: 10th March 2015

If romance is your thing, you'll love the latest helping from New York Times bestseller, Colleen Hoover. In Confess we meet Auburn, who has lost everything that is dear to her and is rebuilding her life from scratch. Of course, she doesn't expect to fall in love with artist Owen, but when she does she discovers an all-shattering secret and must try to keep her disintegrating life together.

4. God Help the Child by Toni Morrison

Release date: 21st April 2015

The powerhouse of American literature, Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison is known for her intensely moving portraits of Black American life, especially in her most famous work, Beloved. Morrison's latest novel is equally unflinching, as she writes about a woman called Bride who suffers from childhood trauma which affects her into her adult life. This book might not be a light read, but it is certainly an important one.

5. Go Set A Watchman by Harper Lee

Release date: 14th July 2015

This July sees the publication of Harper Lee's first novel since To Kill A Mockingbird, which was released and rose to cult status more than 50 years ago. Unfortunately, the prequel Go Set A Watchman has been mired in controversy, with rumours abounding that Lee never wanted it published, so if you'd rather steer clear of the new release, this summer is still the perfect time to read (or reread) the classic Mockingbird.

Now is the time to prepare your library for summer. Happy reading!
