Returning unwanted items:

I was horrified to look over and see my son holding a sharp long pin which had come out of the tambourine! He could have died if he’d swallowed it. Looking at the tambourine, the needle was holding the shaky discs in place at such a tiny, flimsy depth that it was almost inevitable that it would fall out. It’s unbearable to think what could have happened had I not spotted him holding it. This is terrible craftsmanship and an awful product to market for children. Attempts to contact the company have gone unanswered.

Hopefully you've had a response to your email now, but in case not, we'd like to clarify that we take product safety very seriously. We rechecked the product testing, and also checked our records for any past reports of the same issue. We concluded was that this was a limited manufacturing defect which does not appear to affect other products of the same type - given the high number of these items sold without incident, no recall action was deemed necessary in this instance.
