2018 saw lots of exciting goings on at Rex London HQ. Here’s our year in review, plus a sneak peek at what’s in store for 2019.

Bestsellers of 2018

We create hundreds of new lines every year, and these are just some of the top products that have been flying off the shelves over the last 12 months.

No bestselling list would be complete without a touch of magic, here courtesy of our Magical Unicorn temporary tattoos.

Our iconic jumbo storage bag is always a hit, and this classic World Map design has been one of your favourites this year.

World Map Jumbo Storage Bag, £4.95

One of our most popular children’s designs, Colourful Creatures, has made the list with an insulated lunch bag made from recycled plastic bottles.

The move away from plastic toys to something more eco-friendly and hardwearing has secured this vintage wooden pull toy a place in our top sellers. The toy also comes in 100% recyclable packing, for a further eco win!

Vintage Racer Pull Toy, £9.95

Whatever our age or skin-type, we all love a bit of pampering, and this high-quality brightening face mask is just the ticket. Even better, our range of sheet masks has been shortlisted for Gift of the Year 2019, in the Beauty, Bath & Spa category!

Dotcomgiftshop became Rex London

In March, we changed our name from dotcomgiftshop to Rex London, in order to reflect the developments that the company has made over the years. Plus, it’s much easier to say and remember!

New designs

Two major new designs were added to the Rex London collection in 2018.

Folk Doves

This collection was introduced in March to celebrate our rebrand, and it has expanded considerably since then. Folk Doves is a charming and pretty design with a Scandinavian folk-inspired print which mixes stylish floral and wildlife motifs.

Dolly Llama

A cheeky llama burst onto the scene in spring, and has been a hit ever since. We asked the public to choose a name that captured its unique attitude and personality, and Dolly Llama was born.

Creative collaboration for charity

We teamed up with children’s illustrator Neal Layton to create a limited edition jumbo storage bag, in aid of children’s charity Make-A-Wish, who grant life-changing wishes for seriously ill children.

You can still do your bit to support the charity (and pick up some long-lasting home storage too, of course) by buying the limited edition Neal Layton jumbo storage bag for just £4.95. All proceeds go directly to the charity to support the wonderful work they do.

What’s in store for 2019?

We can’t wait for Sydney the Sloth to join the Rex London family in early 2019! He has been designed by Sarah from our in-house team: “I wanted Sydney to capture the sweet, chilled out nature of sloths and so to have him sleeping on a vine seemed the perfect choice!” Keep your eyes peeled for lots of sloth goodness adorning some of our favourite products very soon.
