The affordable Christmas stocking challenge 2022

It's the return of our annual stocking filler challenge! Choosing stocking fillers for children is a really fun part of getting ready for Christmas. However, the average spend on a single Christmas stocking for children can be anywhere from £45 - £108*. We know it’s possible to create a magical stocking with great quality goodies for much less, so we challenged these mums to see what they could buy for just £35!

I chose these items for my daughter who is 5. She’s really into fairies and the Fairies in the Garden range has so many beautiful items to choose from. The star wand will be a great addition to her dress up box and she's a big fan of colouring and crafts, so will be excited to have new colouring pencils. She loves hair clips and bobbles and I know she will love the bright colours and designs of the clips I chose. I love how affordable the stocking filler range is and there’s so much choice. We’ve purchased from Rex London many times before because of the quality of the items.

I picked these stocking fillers because they really suit my kids - not only are they fun and colourful but actually usable too! Both my girls adore getting stationery but still at an age where they don’t want it to be boring, so the colour change pens and Secret Agent spy pens are going to be a huge hit. Temporary tattoos are also a big thing in our house but I’m fed up looking at ugly ones, so the cute Fairies in the Garden set will make them so much easier to live with! Practical gifts like the water bottle, moon night light and bamboo toothbrush are perfect essentials that are pretty enough to get away with being given for Christmas!  To be able to get all these stocking fillers for under £35 and in the one place is so great right now when money isn’t stretching as far as it used to!

I decided to choose stocking fillers for my 5 year old son because I find it much harder to find nice things for his stocking than for the girls. I will be using the Rex London range as my go to stocking filler shop from now on as I was absolutely spoiled for choice. Love the packaging and I am so excited to see his reaction to the brilliant toys I’ve picked for him. So much lovely stuff for girls too, I’ll be placing another order to finish off their stockings!

We chose items from the Fairies in the Garden range for our 4 year old daughter - there is a huge range of products available including temporary tattoos, a wand, a star headband and other stationery items! She will love every single thing! My 2 year old twin boys have similar stationery products, but also some binoculars and a magnifying glass to do some exploring outside! The water bottles are also of such a good quality and I can’t believe how much we managed to buy for only £35.

We absolutely love the Rex London stocking filler range - there's always such variety and amazing quality. The best part is the price - just £35 for a complete stocking for each of my three children.

I filled my stocking for my 8 year old daughter - she's really creative and loves drawing. I managed to pick her a mixture of lovely stationery, a new skill for her to learn with the juggling balls and a rainbow pin badge to add to her collection.

I was set a challenge to fill a stocking for £35 and it was so easy and fun to do. There is so much choice and I love that you can narrow your search to find the perfect items.  My daughter loves anything girlie, so I know she will be delighted with her stocking fillers and I’m equally delighted as I’m really pleased with the quality!

I chose the Wild Wonders range for my youngest as he loves animals. The wooden rattle and memory game were perfect for him with the cute design. I got two of the Space Age tilt mazes for my older boys to keep them entertained whilst doing writing and crafts. Then I picked up the water pistol for the boys to use in the bath, and then they can use it outside come summer.
