In this seasonal styling feature, Pandora Maxton, a content creator and stylist, shares the inspiration behind her fresh spring table. From layered textures to colourful flowers and Asian-inspired food, the look is all about celebrating the brighter months ahead.

Green decor on white tablecloth on dining table

My spring-styled table is all about freshness, light and new growth. I love green, as it always reminds me of the garden, plants and growing leaves after a long winter. Whether you choose soft sage, muted olive or a deeper emerald, green acts as a grounding colour on the table and helps create a calm, fresh setting.

I suggest a white or natural linen tablecloth as the ideal base, allowing the green bowls to stand out while keeping the overall look soft and seasonal. Layering in woven placemats or crochet pieces adds lovely texture. The contrast between the more structured bowls and the relaxed leaf, fruit and flower-shaped pieces creates an organic, botanical feel that works beautifully for spring dining.

I always love using lots of seasonal flowers, whether they are shop-bought or foraged from the garden. An abundance of multicoloured spring tulips, especially those with rich red tones, works beautifully against the green bowls, while soft pastel pink and blue flower bowls complement the palette without competing with it. This mix of colour helps the whole table feel fresh, vibrant and full of spring character.

I’ve opted for an Asian-inspired theme with my food choices, which suits the tableware perfectly. The larger bowls are ideal for serving chicken ramen noodle soup, while the leaf bowls work beautifully for duck rice. The smaller flower-inspired bowls are perfect for herbs, sauces and little extras on the side. Green jugs also work beautifully for serving fresh iced lemon water and help continue the botanical colour theme across the table.

Glassware is key to adding another layer of interest. Here, these retro-styled ribbed stemmed wine glasses paired with deep yellow water glasses bring warmth, colour and a slightly playful feel to the setting. I think using striking glassware is such an easy way to make the overall look feel more special.

Finishing touches always matter. I suggest using candles during the day or at night, as their soft glow creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Simple green candle holders help balance the more detailed bowls and jugs without taking away from them. With green bowls as the centrepiece, my spring table becomes more than just a place to eat - it reflects nature, growth and the warmer months ahead.

Happy dining and enjoying the spring and summer months.
