Where it all began
Our founders, Rob and Eri, began with items that they had simply stumbled upon on their travels around Asia. For no other reason than they struck a chord. They liked them, and thought other people would too, and so started selling from a market stall in London’s Portobello Road in 1981.
As the company grew, we decided to not only choose products we liked, but also to design them. First came the original jumbo storage bag, one of our best loved products to this day, and back then our passport to a world that we could fill with our own ideas. Our style was colourful, imaginative, and very distinctly Rex.
Each year we’ve added to our eclectic and stylish collections, and we now welcome new products to our site nearly every week, so you’ll never be stuck for a gift idea again.
