I think we’re all in need of a little pick-me-up at the moment, and with all the wonderful items in Rex London’s sale under £10, now is the perfect time to treat yourself or loved ones. I always think the sale is a great time to stock up on lots of little treats that you can keep to gift throughout the year. Here are my favourite finds from this year’s offering.

Rainy day play

With the weather looking decidedly rainy and bleak in these winter months I’m finding I need a stash of activities for when boredom takes hold! These animal masks are just the thing for a bit of role play - they’re also great to keep for any dressing up costumes that may be needed in the coming term...I’m thinking The Tiger That Came To Tea!

Larry the Lion

The sweetest little lion who resides in this fun illustrated tin. I gave this to my baby nephew and his face was a picture when I pulled it out! Perfect for little ones, it’s a fantastic size for them to squish into bags or amble into role play. I love that you can either keep the tin as Larry’s little home, or re-purpose it for pens, crayons or even a little plant.

String Bags

These brightly coloured string bags always make my trips to the market all the more enjoyable, I always feel so vintage and fancy free! They’re a great way to cut down on the use of disposable bags, and stylishly at that! I love that they fold down really small, so you can keep a couple in your bag at all times.

Love Birds washi tape

During the last lockdown I made little posies of fresh flowers from my garden and left them outside our neighbours houses as a little act of random kindness. Sadly my garden’s pretty parched at the moment, but I did have the foresight to dry some so that I can continue to enjoy the summer flowers through winter. I love using old bottles and attaching little tags decorated with washi tape - the Love Birds design is one of my absolute favourite designs and seems fitting to put on little gifts.

Restocking the first aid box

Oh, how my children love a plaster! But to be quite honest, with the Folk Doves design on these, so do I! This tin is perfect for keeping a little stash of plasters handy for wherever you need - which if you have kids may be more often than not!

Bonnie the Bunny nail stickers

My girls love nail art, but honestly with their tiny nails even a pixie manicurist would struggle! These nail stickers are just the thing, so easy to apply, remove and are oh so cute!

Living spaces refresh

Our lounge has had the same wallpaper for 10 years this year - and while I still love it, I feel like the room could still do with a little refresh. This brass hanging mirror suits my retro style and I love how mirrors always make a room look brighter and more spacious.

Shopping style

The bright red flowers on this shopper are such a happy pop of colour, which is exactly what we all need right now. These bags are good and sturdy with flat bottoms so they’re great for when you need a bag a bit bigger than a standard tote but still small enough to go over your arm. Great for bundling in flasks, extra jumpers and all manner of things you may need on a day out.
They’re also irresistible to cats it seems!

Rainy day poncho

Another one of my handbag essentials is one of these rainy day ponchos - as the great British weather is notoriously wobbly these ponchos are super for stuffing into your bag in case of showers. They’re great to wear but also fantastic if you need to sit down on something that might be a bit wet, or for sheltering a couple of children. It’s for single use, but if cared for can be used again.

Kangaroo lunch box

To encourage our household to make the daily walks a little longer we’ve started to take little snacks to keep us energised. Caramel stroop waffles seem to be the order of the day, but I’m trying to intersperse them with fresh fruit and crudites. I love giving the girls little tubs like this kangaroo one, each containing their designated snacks so that they don’t keep requesting them throughout our journey!

Gorgeous gift bags

I love this gift bag, there’s something so wonderful about encasing those precious presents in the perfect bag. I’m loving leaving bunches of flowers or homemade food parcels for loved ones in gift bags outside their doors while we can’t see them at the moment.
